I love this anthology. I got it for a college course, but ended up keeping it. I just found the poetry included in this anthology to be beautiful and I love how they give you a lot of room for notes. The annotations included in this anthology are great too. I sometimes get annoyed with pointless annotations, but these ones help me to better understand the text and time period.
The Entire Norton collection is a must-own for anyone, especially though interested in reading the classics. It includes every piece of "important" literature ever written, with very detailed, well-written commentaries and footnotes to help you understand the historical setting of the piece. I bought them for class last year and have never regretted it. I am thinking of getting the American set next.
It is impossible to claim Old and Middle English are "bad" writings, however they are not to my taste. The stories within the anthology were interesting but had they not been assigned, I would never have bothered.
Great anthology of English literature. I purchased this text for a college course 3-4 years ago. It is large and heavy volume.
The school store want double or more of the purchase price for a used book that looked like a very very very used book. This book was listed as good condition, it was almost new! Very Happy with purchase!
Excellent anthology of English/British literature. It's concise and helpful if you're a student looking for a resource. I would recommend to all aspiring Lit majors.
There was some writing on the cover of this book which was not listed, but there are no torn pages and overall it is in good condition and I am happy.
I actually rented this book from a college book renter, but when I saw the prices to buy it here on , I promptly returned the rental and purchased it here. I got the book in less than 3 days, which was awesome. I will always check  first from now on!!
