Book with great selection of International Relations theory works by Waltz, Jervis, Machiavelli, Zakaria, etc. Most of the articles you can get it for free. However, some that are excepts from books are harder to find for free. I would give it 5 stars, for around $90+ new is steep considering that some of the works are available for free.
The author seemed to write this book just to be writing it because it lacked little feeling. The readings are pretty timeless, however it would not be effective to try to teach a course solely with this one book. If it is being used in conjunction with other resources then I would strangly suggest it as an additional resource.
This book is a great introduction to international politics as well as war and peace studies. Articles and pieces are carefully selected to build a solid basis and regrouped under relevant titles for a fundamental understanding of the topic.
I read this book as part of my Army War College studies and highly recommend it. a good read!
