"King Udrayana and the Wheel of Life" by Sermey Geshe Lobsang Tharchin is an interesting read on Buddhism beliefs. The Wheel of Life, with its depiction of the beings of the world caught in the grasp of death, is a traditional painting familiar to students of Tibetan Buddhist art. This book explains the events leading to its creation, and attempts to define the precise meaning of the Wheel. It is a fairly easy book to read, as it also contains the original Tibetan text, so you only need to read half. (Unless you understand both.)I found the book both interesting and enlightening in regards to the Wheel of Life, a picture I've seen many times but never knew that much about. I'd recommend the book to anyone wanting a deeper understanding to the picture, and the meaning it represents.Reviewed by Alain Burrese, J.D., author of Lost Conscience: A Ben Baker Sniper Novel and others.
