I purchased this item based on one 5 star review, as that's exactly what I was looking for. I was looking for something non-fancy but would hold the normal letter size sheets, as most of the awards, artworks and schoolwork happens to be on the standard US letter size 8.5"X11" paper. This record book DOES NOT hold the papers of that size without folding. Please see the pictures I have uploaded. I took a picture of standard sheet on the record book and inside one of the envelope as well so you can compare the size of the book against the standard paper. You can also see the papers being crushed (if you keep them straight without folding)if you pull the elastic tie over. I won't mind folding school work etc. but I don't think anyone would like folding certificates and artwork.Like many people, I buy products based on reviews by people. I take the product rating very seriously and don't write reviews unless I do a thorough study to be fair. If you are looking at storing folded papers and smaller size docs/photos, this one shall do, otherwise please look at other products. Thanks for reading. Hope this helps. I am sadly returning this product.

I looked and looked for a suitable memory book for my son. Read all the various reviews and even went around town so I could actually see the various avaiable books. I wanted something that I didn't have to pour hours over, but at the same time I could jot down some quick notes, have a place for him to write his name, etc.. and store his papers and report cards. Plus, I decided I really did want something that was Pre-K through 12. This definitely did the trick. It's not as fancy as some, but I love the pockets (plenty of room to hold things), the ability to put one or two photos, the places to write and best of all, the elastic band around the book to keep it together if it gets really full! Plus, its not too expensive. My son is only in Kindergarten, but I know I will enjoy filling this out with him over the years. If you are looking for a really cutsey, more of a scrapbooking type memory book...this might not be for you. But, if you want something pratical, that more than covers the basis, is a good size (holds an normal size piece of paper without folding)...then I highly recommend this book.

I was disappointed that his reports cards and art on standard paper size didn't fit! I liked that it includes preschool and all the way to the 12th grade. But I think I will now buy something else!

I got this book for my sister's triplets (one book for each) and my sister and I were very pleased! I love that this book includes Pre-K as many similar books did not, and it goes all the way up to 12th grade. It's great to be able to keep all school years in one book. I also loved that there is a photo spot for each grade level and that there are writing prompts for each section about new friends, how the child felt on the first day of school, and spots to write their favorite songs, colors, etc. It's a fantastic way to summarize the year and offer a snapshot into the school year and the child's likes at the time that they can look back on in later years. I really like that it doesn't take much time to complete each section for the parent, but it still makes a great memory album.I'm giving it 4 stars because I do wish there was more space to write or add your own things to each grade other than the prompted items. Also, while I love the pockets to hold artwork, awards, and report cards, they do NOT hold standard size paper (8.5x11), meaning you have to fold them. Overall, a highly recommended record book for parents!

I had a book similar to this when I was in school and wanted to get one for my daughter now that she is in school. I chose this one because of the larger size and pre-k section. As other reviews have mentioned it will not fit 8 1/2 x 11 paper unfolded but I'm okay with folding paper to fit in here. The pages inside are not glossy so writing in pen won't smear. The information to fill in will capture memories and will be great to read over in the future. How to remove the green sticker on the front ---- use a hair dryer to warm the sticker for a minute, then start to peel back the sticker slowly with the hair dryer still on the sticker. You can aim the heat on the top or from underneath to release the glue. The sticker will come off almost effortlessly and if there is some sticky residue you can use the sticker to remove what remains. The book looks great without the sticker.

This is a GREAT book. I bought one for my son (4) and daughter (7). It starts with pre-school. There is a spot for the kids to put their signature. It has a space for a class photo and some fill in the blanks (favorite friend, activity, etc...). There is a pocket for a few papers or the report card. It is just enough to have a place to save a few favorites so when kids graduate they will have a nice, organized, concise memory book of their school years. It would actually make a great 1st birthday gift since parents are usually overwhelmed with toys. This is useful and not something first time parents may know about.

I only gave it 4 stars because of the sticker on the front, IT DOES NOT COME OFF EASY, it's tears and rips. I will have to spend some times getting it off completely, going to have to buy goof off and hope that will help remove it.other wise happy with the choice, I just think the sticker isn't necessary at all. Or at least make it so it's easy to remove.
