I'll be the first to leave the only review that you will need... buy this book. Buy two copies, so you can keep one safe. Buy a third to give as a gift. I, along with other faithful readers have been following Pre-Alison's adventure for years in web comic form. This paper copy will only serve to make you just as eager as the rest of us are for our twice weekly update. This story pulls from so many sources it will instantly feel familiar and at the same time be unlike anything you have ever read. I discovered this comic a few months ago and blasted through the archives in a single night. Its amazing, and basically all I've been able to think of since. The world is unlike anything else, while simultaneously having all these semi-recognizable references that enrich how otherworldly everything else is. The world and story of Kill 6 Billion Demons is so wonderfully rich and coherent and off-the-wall. I love the characters, and the art is amazing. The creature designs blow my mind - every time a new creature or person shows up, even just in the background, I think "now THIS is my favorite character design," only to think the same thing with a new character a page later. I'm so excited for this print copy.
Absolutely excellent. Reminds me of China Mieville's weird cityscapes, Planescape Torment's thriving multiversal trade hub, and Guillermo Del Toro's monster design in Hellboy.I've been reading the webcomic, but I'll be buying a copy as a christmas present.
