Outstanding political analysis. While the book focuses on Wisconsin politics, the thesis is easily generalizable and speaks to the current national political debate. A must read for anyone wishing to understand American politics today.

Great idea. Poorly developed and lacks the broader view. The author presents this as though it is a unique idea and findings. This situation exists in most Midwestern states. many of the assertions are not substantiated.
