With the help of this book I passed the PMP exam first time. The questions are excellent - very representative of the questions on the actual PMP exam I took. The answer explanations really help you to understands process areas you may be struggling to grasp. If you read the PMBOK, understand all the processes and their ITTOs, and take the tests in this book you should be well prepared.
I recommend this to anyone who is serious about passing the exam. 600 practice questions are more than enough. You do not need to flip pages back and forth any more. Questions and answers are linked for easy access.
Improved, actually not so much because of references to 5th edition of PMBOK, but more because of navigation, which did not exist before.With previous version, I had to work around by having two Kindles open at the same time, one in Questions area, and the other in Answers area.That obvious obstacle was alleviated in this edition. With every question, you have a "Check Answer" link, which, in turn, has a "Back to Question" link. Answer still explain both the correct and the wrong options. And, if one cannot remember the question they just answered, well, that is a short term memory problem.So, improved and much less time consuming.Good drill.As for that "discount" sales pitch offer (in the intro of the book) for additional tests which can be downloaded from a web site, with additional charges.... Three tests are more than enough for anybody to test the mettle. No need to bother with more.
You know, this book is strange. There are many grammar mistakes in the questions. Some questions (very few, less than 1%) are arguably answers that could be wrong if you think about PM processes the way PMI tells you to.However, it's hard to argue with results. After a lot of studying through Rita, it's only through studying this book that I was able to get a handle on the many tricks required to pass the exam. I scored all "Proficient" on the 5 knowledge areas, so I am vrey happy with the result, and thus recommend this book to anybody who wants a cost-effective way to train for the PMP. "Cost-effective", in the sense that for the price, you get a lot of questions that help effectively prepare for the PMP.
Great book. It gives you plenty of practice so when you get to the exam you know what to expect, and you are not nervous because you have done it all before. Also, not only does it tell you why the right answer is right, but it also tells you why the wrong answers are wrong.
I passed PMP exam today and this book helped me a lot because the easy way to check your answer in Kindle copy.The questions in my opinion close to the real exam more than some exams on the web.
The information was useful in preparing for my exam but the numerous grammatical errors made it painful to read through. One of the best references for passing the exam. From many of the books I got, this is the one having questions very similar to the exam. I recommend it as one of the best books for passing the PMP certification.
