This book helps explain the PMP process. I hope to pass the exam this year, and this book is a good study aid, with great questions (with the answers) in the back.Although it may not be the most up to date as far as the questions (they are revised often) it does help go into the details of each portion of the test. I read it through, but mostly ignored the questions.
The book guide me step by step into understanding PMP and not to get really nervous in getting a PMP Exam. The book covered a lot of topic that the usual PMP is eager to learn. The topic on what to expect on PMP exam somehow relieve me and guidance from this book made me feel that I have learned a lot more and I can now take the exam with atleast some background on what to expect. Great read!
The definitive book on Project Management! This was the first book I've bought in my career. Perfectly published, it is one of the books the every project manager must have. This is a great book, especially when it comes to understanding Project Management from the very basic terms up-to the advanced topics, it also covers most of the PMP curriculum.I did read and actually study this book during my masters study as the text book for Project Management, it was really handy and rich.
Nice summary but there are some out dated contents. I don't know how well it might work if someone gives tricks to beginners to solve difficult questions. All might depend on interpretations of individual situations not by specific tricks.
A good book for those who want to start a business and who is engaged in the management. Very well explained examples. Interesting set out the author's point. When you read the book, you begin to understand that the management is not difficult, there are new project ideas. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to implement projects.
I will be taking the professional exam soon. To be honest, I had decided to take it years back but was always scared I would not pass. This time though I have done my studies well and to add, I got this book. I am more confident with my skills and my success rate. I appreciate what I have learned from this book including the basics of PMP and how to be able to successfully pass the professional exam.
It is overwhelming when you are chosen to be the project manager, meaning you have to take charge of the project and make sure that everything is under control. Yet, this kind of task is scary especially if it is your first time to do it. The work is left and right, the pressure is on. But you don't have to worry for everything can be learned and having this book would be a big help for your career. The techniques in handling this kind of task is written very well, easy to understand and to follow. Great book for the beginners
