For what its worth-I wasn't required to take the pre-licensing course because of a higher education exemption. Therefore, locating the best available study guide was imperative, as I had no previous exposure to Florida agency and license law. I purchased numerous study guides to ensure I had the best information available to pass the exam. Fortunately, I passed the exam on my first attempt.Of all the study guides I purchased, this was by far the best. The information was explained clearly and in a rational manner. Most importantly, this text focuses on the concepts, which is the major focus of the Florida real estate exam. The test taking strategy listed in the book is completely accurate. I imagine that people who utilize the study strategy outlined in the book and prepare adequately have a much higher pass rate than the average examinee. The sample exam questions were conceptual in nature and were similar to those on the real estate exam. I was completely prepared for the test and had no difficulty passing the exam. While the sample questions in the book were not exactly the same as those on the test, they were very similar. I was very comfortable with the information on the exam and was very familiar with the questions on the test.I highly recommend this text to anyone preparing for any of the brokerage exams in Florida. Focusing on concepts is the correct strategy to pass the Florida real estate exams. The conceptual information in this text is easily understandable and will prepare any examinee for success.Best of luck in your real estate careers,HammockBound
I took an online class for the sales associate with another real estate company. I purchased the Barron's book hoping to get a different perspective from the Dearborn books I had, and was disappointed. There is some detail lacking that was tested on the state exam. I found several errors in the Barron's book and no-one to report them to. I did find that having the additional exam questions to be useful as it boosted my confidence. I did pass the state exam first time, and this book helped, but I would not recommend to use it solely for study. The Dearborn Florida Real Estate Principles, Practices & Law is better, and you should pass the exam after really knowing the material in it!
I took the FREC I course at a school and after not passing the exam on my first try only using the book provided, I decided to buy this book. I found it easy to read (didn't lose me like the other one), straight to the point without giving you extra information you don't need, set up with tons of definitions first is great and practice tests were good for prepping. I highly recommend this book for studying for the Sales Associate license. Only downside is not enough test questions on the type of math you see on the exam.
I bought several books in search of a good source to help me prepare for the state-certified general exam. Some were too basic, others too complicated. This one was great with explanations and suggestions about what to prepare for. I especially appreciated the exams. The answer keys included enabled me to determine my true progress.
As an attorney I did not have to take the 63-hour course. I used this book as my primary material to get ready for the sales associate exam.I found a few other practice tests on the internet and did them, but the practice tests in this book were more representative of what I found on the exam this morning. It's not perfect. There are some practice questions that are annoyingly wrong, but overall they were very good at preparing me to take the test. There is material that is not covered in the book that is on the test. Some other things helped me. Obviously being a lawyer helps. Math skills are important. I have always been good at math and still remember most of what I learned. And I'm a homeowner and a business owner, so just from personal experience I was more prepared for mortgage questions and the business-oriented questions.Overall, for less than $20, this was an excellent buy.
The concepts were easily explained and the problems in the book reinforce the concepts. The practice tests were also useful.
I graduated with a 4 year degree in Real Estate, so this book was mostly supplementary for me. However, the exam questions and questions in the back of the book are very helpful and it puts you in the right train of thought for the exam. I would recommend doing a 3 week lead in to taking the exam and reading a chapter a day followed by the questions. I didn't read the math chapter of this book, but it looked decent. I passed on my first attempt.
This book is really good, because is very detailed. Is a great product for anyone that wants to go into the real estate business, or even someone that just want to know more, for personal use.Is user friendly, with simple language, that anyone can understand.
