This is quite a good sampler of the long-running Prairie Home Companion radio show starring Garrison Keillor and set in the fictional town of Lake Wobegon, Minnesota. Most of this CD is great comedy segments, but 3 tracks are bluegrass music. The comedy is of much variety, including humorous audio effects, skits about catchup and english majors, a detective spoof, and a boat story set in Lake Wobegon. About that last, it's odd to me that they included a 22-minute story ("Pontoon Boat") on a 54-minute sampler, even though the story is very funny and well told by GK. Sound quality is fine. There is no booklet included. Overall, this is a very enjoyable and funny disc, although there are many choices of Prairie Home Companion CDs on .
This is classic GK with friends from the radio show but a bit short compared to the story collections
