Outstanding ,very well illustrated overall history of 20th century small arms development- a genuine must have.
I'll keep this short: I have a fairly humble collection of firearms books but this is by far the best one. I bought it without knowing what I was really getting and was deeply impressed.This book sticks to the fundementals like the AR, AK, FNH, H&K series and a few others. What it does well is explain why, when and where certain arms became so important.
