I got in the 99th percentile nationally! I am so happy, I thought I might have failed for some reason but this book definitely helped me a lot. I got 100% on math, 98% on science, 93% on reading, and 84% on english with the help of this book.This breaks every topic down into a neat, organized, and easy to read format. The difficulty of the problems in this book were a bit easier than the ATI book I also used but the actual test was a lot easier than any practice test I have ever taken so I guess Trivium's book is closer to the actual test questions. This is a solid purchase, after all you are investing in your future. My advice to you is to not assume that since your english is "perfect" that you can ignore the english and reading sections; they test some pretty arcane knowledge that you last heard in elementary school.I received this product at a discount in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.
By far the most helpful TEAS book I've purchased. I found a couple in the book store and this one online and have to say for the price this was an absolute bargain! I found the test tips extremely helpful and specific to the TEAS and not just any test. The practice tests were helpful too.
My sister is going into nursing school, and as such, she has to take the TEAS test as part of her acceptance into nursing school to be a nurse. So when I saw this study guide, I immediately thought of her. After reading the reviews, I figured I had to get this for her! It came quickly and in great condition. I opened up the book and flipped through the pages, and was impressed at the layout of the book. It has all of the sections that will be brought up on the TEAS test, with a reading section and then a quiz section with example problems and explanations of how they will be presented. It is invaluable for those who are going to take the test and want some preparation to get them ready for what to expect on the test. In the back of the book, there are two different practice tests, that really cover in detail all the different sections that will be presented, along with an answer key to check your work. I think this is great for anyone who is looking to get a bit prepared for what is to come and I recommend it highly as it is an invaluable practice for what seems like a huge amount of material that can be overwhelming to study. But this book prepares you very well. It gives those who are worried a solid ground and foundation, and therefore I think it is perfect. Any bit helps with these types of tests, and this is a very thorough study guide. I received this product on a promotional discount for my honest review and they are 100% my own opinions. This book has so many errors in it. It will teach you methods that don't work. A math problem where they add a magical x from nowhere in picture posted. These are errors that will drive anyone nuts that actually know what they are doing
I am in my last semester of nursing school and took the HESI to get in a couple of years ago. Now my friend has decided that she would like to go to nursing school and enroll in the same school I attend and found out that my program now requires the TEAS as its entrance exam. I did not have a HESI study guide, so when I ran across this book while searching for nursing books, I immediately thought of her and snatched it up. Since I do not need it for me, I just glanced through the book to see what it is like. I believe this book will be extremely helpful to her to study for the TEAS. It goes through the entire exam by topic and gives only the pertinent information you need by eliminating all the fluff. It also has pictures and diagrams to help certain points sink in. The chapters are broken down further by topics and there are example questions after every few paragraphs to help you get a grasp of what you are studying. Then book also offers two practice exams each about 35 questions long and also offers test taking strategies. I am very pleased with this purchase and hope that it will help my friend to pass the TEAS and get into nursing school. I am sure it will be of great help to her as the book is very straightforward and easy to understand.I received this item at discounted price in exchange for my honest and unbiased opinion. It features 5 sections; Part 1 - Reading, Part 2 - Math, Part 3 - Science, Part 4 - English and Language Usage, and lastly Part 5 - Test Your Knowledge (contains 2 practice tests).This study guide goes over strategies and gives you many example problems (which also explaining the problem's answer in depth).The book discusses and explains concepts in a basic manner so it's easy to digest.The answer key for the math on the practice tests feature explanations but the reading, science, and english and language usage do not feature explanations. It would have been more helpful to explain the answers to every question in my opinion.Conclusion: Overall it's a pretty good study guide but features some errors which is upsetting.Disclaimer: I received this product at a free or discounted price in exchange for a fair and unbiased review.
