My son got a 24 on his first ACT so I decided to get the book for him with only 5 weeks to prepare for the next test.He read the book and did 4 practice ACT's.He scored a 27 on the next test.He only did 14 hours in total of studying.Science 24 to 29English 26 to 30Reading 20 to 24Math 25 to 26Writing 25 to 30He rushed through the reading and math sections in the book.I believe he should've scored a 28 to 29 with more effort.I would recommend reading a section in the book. Then do a practice exam on that section and REVIEW YOUR WRONG ANSWERS unlike my son.Read the book twice.Very helpful book.My next son is a sophomore and is starting to read the book now.
Excellent Review. Much better than regular test prep books because it goes into How and Why strategies and answers in detail rather than tons multiple questions with answers. Loved the reviews. A must have supplement to Red book.
Provides a comprehensive review of core subject material in an easy-going, accessible style. A bargain for the price, and a perfect companion to the standard tomes from Kaplan, etc.

I read this book in a week and found quite a bit of helpful knowledge and the how and why behind the answers. Scored a 31 with minimal study and no practice tests so I would recommend it.
My daughter just scored a 31 after taking the test for the first time. She will take it again in the fall. I think the results speak for themselves.
