I was about to purchase this book when I realized that most of the reviewers only had two reviews, this and the companion book, "Tutor Ted's Guide to the ACT. In addition, most of these reviews did not say, "Verified Purchase." Be alert!!!
Tutor Ted has done it again! This companion to the "Guide to the ACT," gives you a real taste of what the test will be like. The practice tests are just the right length, detailed and helpful in practicing for the real deal.
There is no better way to prepare for the ACT than to take a lot of practice tests. Ideally those tests are reflective of the actual test, current with the latest ways questions are being asked, and complete in terms of covering all probable types of questions. Tutor Ted's ACT Practice Tests are all of those things. Don't prep without it. My son prepped with these test, doing 2-3/week and within a month was ready to take the real thing. Simply put, Tutor Ted's books work.

Each of the three practice tests provides a answer key that goes above and beyond, giving memorable strategies for solving similar questions. The guide is written in a funny, personable tone that is authoritative but approachable. Makes a great partner with Tutor Ted's Guide to the ACT.
Our family first encountered the Tutor Ted series when my oldest son had taken the SAT and wanted to retake to improve his scores. Well, the book worked, and he found it both challenging yet approachable. Second son employed the book as well. Now with a third son in high school, there was no question as to what book we were going to choose to help him prepare for the ACT. The Tutor Ted series is welcoming, instructive, engaging, and well, successful. I highly recommend the ACT Prep and ACT Practice Tests to anyone who wants to help their child improve performance while feeling supported.
I love this book. Perfect companion for "Tutor Ted's Guide to the ACT". Goes through strategies and helpful hints of test taking . The questions are clear and concise and easy to read. I like the levity of this book as this ACT topic can be a bit overwhelming for a student. Ted has almost made it "fun" to take tests.
