This book is not updated. It has the same information as the old edition book,Kaplan New York City Specialized High School Admissions Test (Kaplan Test Prep)
I have not read this book 2016 so I don't care about did it update or not. I think it is great with sufficient verbal and math preview and practice set as well. It also had two practice test and careful explanation.
This book is just like the previous book, however, several edits have been made.1) The book has approximately 10-15 new questions per chapter (approximately 100-120 new questions).2) The book has clearer explanations.3) Mistakes from the previous book have been fixed.*No new sections have been added.This book deserves 3 stars mostly because new questions have been added although it could have been much better with completely new questions and a new section, perhaps.
its helpful but i found some small mistake i the explanation sections like test 2 mathmatic explanation part number 68 it says 7x=707 then below it says x=707 which is suppose to be 101
