I have used several of the titles in this series through the years. I've used it for home, my office, and my children used this Pocket Guide Thesaurus as a quick reference for school assignments. Although my personal library always had different Thesaurus books available, this Pocket Guide has been very useful when needed.It is a quick help in finding alternate words with similar meanings, and antonyms. In addition, it includes a list of overused words, and the alphabetical format is easy-to-use.This book is also ideal for classroom supplements. Each word is presented in Black Bold Typed Letters to see it clearly, and the font is a good size. My children used this for school, as much as I used it for work, and it came in very handy. Highly recommended to teachers, and students!
How can this book have been compiled by a Ph.D? It si too thin a book to be useful! There are better pcket-size books. AND, I would hardly call this pocket-size because it would embarrassly stick out of your pocket!As I said, there are much better books out there!
