Barron's SAT Vocabulary Flash Cards is a test prep tool that presents 500 SAT high-frequency words, selected because they have appeared as key words in recent SAT reading passages and critical reading questions. Cards are alphabetically arranged in the box, with an extra place-marker card that students can use to gauge their word-learning progress. This vocabulary building flash card set enables SAT test takers to review words they might already know, as well as to master unfamiliar words they are likely to encounter both on the SAT and in their college courses. The front of each card lists the target word along with a guide to its pronunciation and its part of speech. The card's reverse side presents the word's definition, uses it in a sentence, and lists synonyms. Students who master all 500 words will find enclosed instructions for making their own flash cards and continuing to expand their vocabularies. Flash cards in this set each have a small punch-hole in the one corner. It accommodates an enclosed metal ring that students can use to arrange select cards for study on the go.

This is a cool set of SAT vocab flashcards. Aside from the good quality 500 vocabs cards, there is a pronunciation guide, a âHow to Make Your Own Flashcardâ and a cute metal ring attached to help you put the cards together to study whenever you want, which is really convenience and handy. There are about 2-3 definitions for each word, along with some good sentences and a few (4-5)synonyms. (I personally hope they can put the some anonymous on the card too, so that it gives a more indicative picture of the word, but anyhow.) Despite all the good qualities this product has, itâs not perfect. I found about 10 overlapping cards, which is really not a big deal when you see all the extra synonyms. This set of cards is a must know for SAT, but it also seems to me that this set of card is a bit easy for SAT. So i would suggest know those words if you haven't already and also get something thatâs a bit more challenging than this set. Great product. Comes with a little ring to hold the cards. I use it for holding words alphabetically and replacing it with the consecutive alphabet after I am done reading the previous one which makes it very portable. My SATs are in May and I will update this with my score. Hope this helps
Thus far this is a very good set of cards to improve vocabulary. The cards come with a ring so you can add cards to the ring or use the ring to carry current set you are working on.ONLY drawback but not major, I would have a thicker card deck or laminate them but the cost would be more expensive.You have to use the SAT cards to make them work for you. We do 10 a week that's just over a year. But I will probably do 40 in 1 month total then spend a week going over the ones that need more study time.I also think writing a paper using the words will help stick them in the memory bank. And I also store them in Evernote (I prefer that over OneNote) so I can just pull them up and go over them at random.Mind you this is for my son he's 14 now. Yes it's early but how else does one build a vocabulary?
The cards are great. They come with a small hole in the corner and can be placed on a ring and kept with you to study. Am apprehensive how damaged they will get. Wish they were laminated. Just started using
The flash cards do an excellent job of including high frequency words from the SAT and the level of difficulty is appropriate for students of all levels.On the front the new words are printed in large fonts with pronunciation and on the back, explanation and an example sentence are provided. The box even contains a ring capable of holding more than 1/10 of the cards at a time through the tiny hole in the bottom left corner of each card.Overall this is a pack of good quality flash cards.
This is a very great product. Very useful for studying for SAT. First of all, the cards are neatly packed and they are even numbered so that you can put them back in order. Second, the explanations are easy to understand and they make sense. Third, sometimes they link some vocab words together in a sample sentence, then you could review two words or even more at a time! Just really liked the way they designed it, with the pronunciation, synonyms, sample sentence, definition, and part of speech. Really nice to see them make such a great product for use!
