I'm a Harvard grad, professional GRE tutor and 99% scorer with over 15 years of experience.I wasn't expecting to like this book, but it's better than I had hoped. It's certainly not perfect, but there are some nice features, such as advice on navigating the PowerPrep software and as a detailed section on the essay. In the past, companies like PR would act as if the official materials did not exist, so it's nice to see a bit more transparency in that regard. However, the quant and verbal coverage is superficial at times. My core emphasis as a GRE tutor is practicing only on official questions whenever possible, which means avoiding tests from other companies. That being said, there is not enough computer-based practice material from ETS, which is where outside tests such as the Princeton Review Tests, GRE Prep Club Tests and Manhattan GRE CATs come in, as well as math review sheets, verbal strategy books, vocabulary mnemonic lists, etc.The problem is that the GRE tests in the Princeton Review book (and the CATs online) are a bit more simplistic than the GRE itself. It's hard for test writers to emulate the specific feel of real GRE questions, which is why you should always go straight to the source for practice. Use this book for strategy and little else, and it might serve as a good introduction to the test.
