This is a wonderful book, but I think there should be a CD with it; otherwise, it is a wonderful reference. We use it iin our classes.
I have improved my Italian a lot. I feel like a pro. The book gives you verb tenses which are very important for any language. You also learn vocabulary. Great experience. Good buy.
Really helpful book to practice "putting things together"; I found that having to write out or translate a sentence from english to italian mimics the process of knowing what you want to say in english but having a hard time constructing the sentence in order to speak it in italian. This book was great at giving me that practice and, as such, it has increased my confidence and my fluency.
Absolutely excellent book. I'm enjoying it immensely. Absolutely recommend.It is an easy and clear approach to supplementing and learning Italian.
It's a good way to review by yourself if you are trying to brush up for a trip to Italy, or for extra practice while you are taking a beginning course. You have the answers to the exercises at the back of the book.
In rating the Italian books, which were chosen by the teacher, it is hard to know if it is actually the best out there, but this book was better than the other 2 books and language CD's tried.
I love the Practice Makes Perfect Italian Series of books: the Conversation covers some of the quirks of Italian conversation.
I like this book. It helps me to practice my Italian and hopefully become more proficient in the language. Since going to Italy, I have become so interested in this culture. Maybe its because I am Hispanic and can relate.
