This is great-It opens with a great overview of the AP test, then gives exact info about what to study and how to study...i really liked the second chapter, it gives all the key models and definitions. Also lots of great tests posted online for practice. My teacher told us to buy this because she likes the format. I agree.
I bought this for my son on the recommendation of his teacher. He is a sophomore and this is his first AP class. He is using this book after reading the textbook to help him figure out what he should be taking notes on, and he thinks it is helpful. Whether the book helps in the class and on the exam remains to be determined, but it's giving him a reason to look at the material a second time in a thoughtful way.
With only about a month of studying for the AP exam with this book and another, more detailed book, I was scored a four on the exam.NOTE: this book is merely a brief compendium and supplementation of what an AP course would cover. - It helps define the different models, etc. It saved my butt on numerous occasions.I suggest it.
It is incredibly useful and organized. All chapters are included, and it is smaller than the average review book. The text is made of important facts from the chapter, including vocabulary. Overall, this review book is everything you would want it to be.
This helped our son study for the test. There were subjects covered and questions answered in this book that weren't covered in his text book. It's a good supplement to use.
My daughter is about to take the AP exam for this course. Out of all of the study guides she says this one has been the best.
This will come in very handy--I will be teaching this course for the first time next school year. I'm teaching myself the course now using the text book-this will help me by having a second source!
I bought this for a 10th grader, and she loved it. She said that it really helped prepare her for her AP test. She even requested that we buy them again this year for her classes
