This book condenses well the main aspects of writing history papers. It helped me write a history term paper, and really helped with my confidence on what I should and should not do for a well structured essay. The price is small for how much it helped me.
Well written and designed with undergraduate students in mind. This small book is worth the cost to an undergraduate student who needs a basic guide to writing, research and documentation.
This is essentially a pocket guide to writing in the Chicago Manual style. It works well for most things, but I would almost rather have the full manual. If you need a smaller guide to throw in your bag to take to the library to work on a paper this is great, but for a desk reference I would almost rather have the actual manual.
It has a lot of good information on writing papers, debating, testing and other actions history majors do. It came required for a class. Bottom line: I'd recommend it. 10/10 good handbook
Oh my god this is a lifesaver when learning to make standard citations and bibliographies of any kind. Any history student should buy this, for sure!
I constantly use the citation guide. All my professors use this book. It is small and well organized so you can easily find what you need.
This was so helpful in writing my history paper! Any question I had I just looked it up in the index and there was the answer! I highly recommend this book for anyone who is taking a college history class!
I was able to download a digital version in time to finish an essay that required reading portions of the book.I did notice some issues with using the e-book on a windows 8 device. I had to use a laptop with windows 7 installed to utilize the purchase.
