Students preparing to take the new Medical College Admission Test will value this set of flash cards as they brush up on questions typical of those that appear on the actual MCAT 2015. The cards--with questions or concepts on the front and answers or concept explanations on the reverse sides--are divided into seven content areas: Biology, General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry Physics, Psychology, and Sociology. Cards measure 4 1/2" by 2 3/4", and have a hole in one corner to accommodate a metal key-ring-style card holder that is included with the cards. The ring allows students to arrange the flash cards for study sessions in any sequence that suits their needs. These flash cards make excellent study aids when used alone, but are even more effective when used in tandem with Barron's new MCAT test preparation manual.

I purchased these for my husband who is studying for the MCAT. I was impressed with how much information can fit on a tiny card! Other reviewers have said these are flimsy, but I think they serve their purpose unless you are just too rough with them. I would not describe these as a traditional flashcard--more like a quick tool to study in the car, at the cafe, etc.
These flashcards are helpful. Although they do have a lot written on them. I also wish the front of the flashcards had the word of concept while the back has the information. I had to write on labels the words/concepts that were described in the back in order to study.
These flashcards have definitely helped with studying for the MCAT. They are detailed yet concise and well organized by Barron's. The Flashcards come with a hole punched out for a metal organizing ring that comes with the set. The only downside is that the cards are a little flimsier that I would like. However, in the long run it hasn't bothered me at all! This product is worth investing in.
The information on these flash cards are quite informative, but also can be difficult to understand. The flash cards are for someone whose already gone over the materials for the mCAT. It often uses difficult words that you will indeed need to lookup. The cards themselves don't seem all that durable so they probably won't last. They're a good supplement to review kits, but not the only thing you should study
There are 450 cards here covering much of the material you would need to master to take the MCAT successfully. There is a great deal crammed onto each card. These are not really "flash" cards as much as they are topic and response cards. In other words, card number 6 covers "DNA Structure and Function" in the BIOLOGY section. On the card the major check terms are "Translation, Initiation, Elongation, Termination, and Posttranslation protein modification." Then each of these terms has information associated with it. For example, "translation" has "3 steps-initiation, elongation, termination". most have a lot more than that. So, the idea, I suppose, is that even these are not the complete information for each topic, but are to suggest the topic to you that you need to have mastered and spark your recall of the material. And if you can't recall it, you know what you need to go get fresh and complete in your mind.Enjoy!
Great review cards. These are geared to prepare the student for the new formatted MCAT. These have a range of topics and information but are better to use after you have already had certain classes and/or done some preparation. The questions and answers are thorough and complicated so it's important that you understand the concepts of what you are studying. They are not meant to teach you subjects but test your knowledge on the ultra important sections of this exam. A MUST HAVE for aspiring med students.
Had these one day. So far I love them. I started making my own flash cards but it was way too time consuming. These are wayyyyy better than anything I could make and some of the cards even have little visual aids. Seems to be the meat of the information needed. Wish I baought these months ago.
I bought Kaplan/Barron's/Princeton Review notecards. I like these the best. Warning, these are not like traditional flashcards.The only other issue is that it is very hard to write on the back of the notecards to add more content to definitions.
