This book starts with a strong introduction to the test and what to expect when taking it. It gives helpful information on how to organize your time, study strategies, and test taking tips.The reviews are great. Each domain is covered and they are very focused. They don't try to teach EVERYTHING, they really focus in on information that you might see on the test - information that is vital for a nursing career. It's really great information to just to review even if you fly through the test with ease. For instance, life sciences focuses on anatomy and physiology, especially some of the more complex topics. Math focuses on those things that nurses will use- for instance, as an RN, you'll use ratio and proportion, and fractions to calculate IV drips, and degrees to the clock face(time) to document things like the locations of wounds or injuries, or perhaps where you put a shot, or where a objective complaint of pain is.There's 2 complete practice tests with very easy to understand explanations of each question. If you picked C, and the answer was A, the explanations will help clarify where you went wrong.There's also great breakdown of question types, and strategies that you can use *When you are TOTALLY LOST." Hey, it happens to everyone at times. For instance, it shows you how to best guess on an question asking for an opposite word, when none of the words really seem to apply. DO NOT skip spending some time to learn these vital strategies. They will help you whether you just need to double check yourself, or if you are clueless. If you really learn how to handle each question type, it will also help speed your test taking time.It's a great book. I used Kaplan when I got my RN, as well as several of my technical certifications.
