I am extremely disappointed with this product and with Kaplan as a company. I was very excited for this to come out because I want to get a head start on studying for the 2015 MCAT. However, when I received the product and attempted to download the mobile application it was not updated to reflect the new material on the 2015 MCAT. I called Kaplan to discuss this with them after several emails that seemed to be misunderstood. I was informed that the mobile application would not be out until February of 2015 for the new exam and they have not prepared their study material for the 2015 MCAT yet. When I asked why the cards are advertised as having an application that can be used with them I was told "I wish that we had a better answer for you". This is very poor customer service from Kaplan!

cards are printed paper, no lamination, tiny, and are mainly definitions. this is a great starting place and adds well to my other MCAT prep, however i was expecting more. especially for the organic chem section, to have given bond line reaction mechanisms rather than just word definitions of the processes.

Like the other reviewer, I'm very frustrated that the MCAT2015 app has not yet been released. Why would you advertise "flashcards + app" on the box when the app is not even an option? The only reason I purchased this product was to have a convenient, on-the-go studying option. If I would have known how misleading the advertisement on the box was, I never would have purchased this product.

I am a pre-med student who is currently studying for the new MCAT exam. I purchased these flashcards in hopes of providing a comprehensive concept review close to exam time. I must say, the cards are definitely comprehensive, but the definitions are fairly weak. I realize that a flashcard should not contain all of the information about the topic at hand, but I felt that a lot of the cards were way too brief. The point of flashcards is to cement concepts, not memorize terms. I think that if the cards had more equations displaying variable relationships, mnemonics, or diagrams, it would be much more helpful. In terms of the physical product itself, the cards were too flimsy and tiny! Maybe I need glasses, but I found it hard to study with such small print. The small size of the cards made the product inconvenient for studying on the go.I have been able to use the associated app, but am also fairly disappointed. It is literally just an e-version of the flashcards themselves. I guess I was hoping for more practice questions or helpful diagrams and mnemonics. In conclusion, if you are looking for MCAT flashcards, I recommend you buy plain old index cards and write them yourself.

Took the mcat in April 2016. Would def. recommend for psych and bio, especially psych where defintions are important. Fairly good for physics. Okay for the other subjects. However, for the other subjects if you like flashcards I recommend printing out the amino acids on quizlet along with organic reactions and making your own flashcards.

Kaplan is amazing, I actually recommend registering for the Test prep course through the Kaplan website. They use these materials and they are amazing! For all the people that complain that this is a "useless product" they must only be using the flashcards to study for 7 1/2 hour exam. That by itself is unreasonable. These cards are perfect to review the information when you just need a little quick check. Registering through the online Kaplan course gives you the online version that you can check out on your phone, or iPad. The paper cards are great too if you are somewhere where there is no Wi-Fi.I highly highly highly recommend any One materials for MCAT prep!

Bought this because I know I would be bored at the airport or waiting in buses, trains, etc. on my way to a medical mission in the Philippines. It was very convenient and useful. I mostly reviewed the psychology flashcards to remember all the key terms and experiments. The chemistry section was too easy to go over (maybe because I was a chemistry tutor for 3 years, maybe not) but would suggest those studying for the MCAT to get a set of flashcards like these and start cracking!

I used the app more than the actual cards. The cards are pretty flimsy, but have a nice design. Not the best study tool in the world, but it is nice to get a broad review of concepts. It can also help show you areas you need to focus on.
