Just the right size reviewer when your on the go. Works well during moments of idleness, e.g. waiting at a hospital lobby or in a jury assembly room. Format itself is helpful, on 1 side the page the question and on its opposite the answer with rational.Works for me.
I bought this 2 months before I had to take my boards and i think it was a good practice book on multiple choice questions. I reviewed 50 questions every other day and the ones I got wrong I went back to them to review. One week before my boards I reviewed all the questions again and really focused on the ones I had wrong. I like that these are all multiple choice which is what you will see on the boards and that the book gives a explanation why that answer is what it is. I didn't have a chance to use the cd so I can't rate on that. I did pass my boards the first time, but I attribute it reviewing these questions as well as other nclex books (Saunders) to study from. I think it is better to get as much information as possible then to not have enough, especially when taking something like your nursing boards.
This book has come in so handy already. I am in the process of taking my LPN course and have refered to this book several times about possible questions that could show up on the NCLEX.
I teach in a practical nursing program. I use this book a great deal with my students. It is a great learning tool. I would highly recommend this book.
The size of this book was my main reason for ordering. The sample test questions really get you thinking, which is exactly what the NCLEX requires of you. I take the test next week and don't leave home without this book. My only negative is that the online tests that come with the book are questions directly from the book, I wish the questions were new.
I bought this as it has in the title, flashcards. They are not actual flashcards! Just an FYI. I wanted flashcards in which I could walk around with in my pocket and study. Title is mis leading. Just an FYI. I tore the book apart and cut them up into flash cards so it worked out but I do want people to know.
Someone recommended this book to me and i am glad i bought it. First the price is right, quite affordable. It is portable it has questions that i saw when taking the nclex the first time and that i have not seen in other review materials.
I bought this cause I just finished Psych Tech program and am getting ready to take my state board test. This book has a great layout to help quiz yourself and most likely still learn a few things that might come in handy for the boards. I couldn't find any psych tech nclex books but weather your going into nursing or a psych tech job this book will help you in either field. Questions are on the front of each page and the answers right on the back. Some really good critical thinking questions as well as excellent explanations as to why each answer is the correct answer. If you need an NCLEX book get this one you wont be disappointed. It also comes with a cd with four 25 question practice quiz's that are timed just like the boards.
