Practice and review questions for all sections of the SAT college entrance test are presented on this set of 500 revised and updated flash cards. The cards include 200 math cards, 200 grammar cards, and 100 vocabulary cards. The math cards present 75 important math facts and 25 valuable strategies that students need to know in order to answer SAT math questions successfully, as well as 100 sample SAT problems in both multiple-choice and grid-in formats. The grammar cards present multiple-choice questions in proper sentence construction. The vocabulary cards present two words per card with definitions on the reverse side--a total of 200 new words for test takers to learn. These boxed cards are designed with a punch hole in one corner. The hole can accommodate an enclosed metal key-ring-style card holder that students can use to customize study on the go.

These laminated cards are 3" x 4.5" and have SAT vocabulary words, writing tips and math facts and strategies. It's a lot to absorb, so I thought that even with the SATs more than a year away for my son, I'd get him started. I put one card on the table each morning (and turn it around the next day... there are two facts per card) for him to look at while he's having breakfast. Seems to be working out okay. At first, I thought the vocabulary section seemed slight, but I've realized that the concept clues and definitions include even more vocabulary words, so it's a good system. A friend of mine put the cards on the ring that's included and has the pack in the car for her kids to look at while driving from place to place. Hey, if your kid's score can be improved for just a few bucks, why not?!?
The words and definitions are great. The cards are thin and are not the quality I expected from Barron's. I would still recommend, just realize that if you try to throw these in a backpack or purse they will get bent and tear easily.
I think these flash cards are awesome! The choices of words are excellent, and I think they be of great benefit to my daughters who are beginning to study for the SAT's. I think this is a good buy for the money, and even though you may think that some of these words are unheard of and rarely used, they could pop up on the SAT's or ACT's. I highly recommend these flash cards.
These flash cards were not very useful to my daughter. They contain very basic words and math concepts. I would not recommend them for a student who is above average trying to boost their score.
But, Barron could have done better. There own printed books have 3000 words. I wish they had cards for all the words they printed
I bought this for my daughter ; she 's taking her sat next month and this is exactcly what she needed it's easy,compact,and she loves it
Plenty of flashcards for the SAT. They are durable and can be held together with a ring that is provided. I mainly used the vocabulary cards and they helped me study for the SAT.
Very nice flash cards, easy to take with you...A LOT of words for me to learn, but it is fun and the cards are good quality.:) The cards don't crease or get damaged very easily.
