This book really helps you out alot. Along with other studying material, I passed my PTCB exam the first time. Study at least 4 weeks before you take the test! This is a great book to have to study.
After training to be a pharmacy technician for the last few years I am finally ready to actually take the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Examination and start my professional career as a pharmacy tech. just got the book today. Started reading it and i actually love it. im actually able to retain some of the information. It get to the point. ihope i past the test.
Describes drug interactions. Has practice tests. Covers the PCTB exam contents such as Pharmacy stock, Hospital setting and safety precautions. Covers pharmacy law, and medication side effects..
This book is very straight to the point, its a quick read but very useful information. It does not spend to much time that is not needed on one subject, so you don't get board. It tells you what you need to know and why you will need to know it. Worth the money to get this book.
It was a good book and it helped me pass the PTCE but you also need outside knowledge of the information.
I passed the test, but not only by this book (I had bought another book from the author Lorraine C. Zentz and mainly studied from it). I still give it 5 stars for the reasons below:1. It summarizes the important points of the main drugs and updates some new drugs.2. It makes the brief of US pharmacy laws.3. It details the procedures of certain aseptic techniques, which is useful.4. It gives many helpful tips to be calm and concentrated on the test, and so on.In short, you will need this book as an additional preparation for the exam, because some other books might not cover the needed information like this book does.
This book covers everything in regards to the new ptcb test. I highly recommend this book to anyone who is preparing to take the new test!
