It's okay for some review portions, however I did NOT find it helpful in the instrument and word analogies sections. I bought another book (barrons) and was able to understand the information better. Seems like they skimmed through a lot of the information but still have helpful tips that the Barron's book did not. Could have used 2 practice tests as well vs only having 1.
The format of this guide is weak (a/o: 1 Jun 2015). Issue being that this is not compatible with Kindle for Windows 8/8.1 nor is it compatible with my Kindle DX device (why bother developing for Kindle if you cannot even enable for the native Kindle devices??). As to the material in this guide, it is quite good and well laid out (addresses each component of the AFOQT exam).I recommend this guide ONLY (at this time) if you have either a Samsung Galaxy (I operate with S4) or an Apple iPad w/Retina (v4)...this is due to this item only working on 50% of my available access devices [PLEASE FIX for others as it will be too late for me since I test in two days...would have been optimal to of studied this material on my DX].

I don't know if they both used the same source for their content, or if one of them plagiarized from the other. Has almost everything you need for the AFOQT but not a whole lot of practice. I got it to get an idea of what is on the test, which this book definitely does, and things are consolidated and explained very well. Not like those 300-400 page SAT books that blabber on and on about simple concepts.
This book exceeded my expectations on allowing me to study what is going to be expected from me on the AFOQT. This is a no fluff study guide which is it's greatest and worst trait. However, this book along with a much more in depth (Barons for example) make an excellent combination for a light review, and an in depth study on your problem areas. The practice test is also right on the money for a AFOQT like experience.
I got the paperback book and I love it. I find study guides much more helpful when I can turn the pages or write on them. That's why I got an actual book rather than a kindle version. It arrived promptly and seems like a very good guide so far. I will not be taking the test for about a year and a half but wanted to get a head start at figuring out what kind of stuff would be on the test. I love that this book is straight forward and to the point. I highly recommend this study aid. I received this product at a discounted rate in exchange for my honest opinion.
This is a great study guide. Definitely helps me understand easily and also has helped remind me of some of the things I learned back in high school and college but in an easy understandable fashion. I like all the practice tests and the advice you guys give in the book.This is an awesome book and even though i'd give the book a 5 star, I'm a huge advocate that things can always be better and improve. This book is very quick and to the point. I have been studying 10 pages at a time so far and feel like each time I open this book I am increasing my chances of getting a good score on the AFOQT. Normally I skip through books and never get the full picture, but I have not been able to with this one. I am getting the full picture much quicker and with less filler, which I appreciate.
