Excellent summaries of the Accounting Principles that are written in plain English, and not dry textbook style writing. Easy reading which makes it easier to understand the principles. I have a Bachelor's in Accounting and I used this book as a refresher for a State Civil Service exam. Excellent review material without having to look at my old textbooks. This book kept my interest, as much as Accounting Principles can! I did very well on the exam too ... :)I think this would benefit someone wanting to learn or is struggling to learn accounting. Very helpful.
I got this book to supplement my online textbook for accounting class (which is very hard btw). It is a great tool. It presents a concise recap of the basic accounting principles that I can refer to without paging through my online textbook.
Most (though not all) accounting textbooks tend to be dull, verbose, and poorly organized. This phenomenon often makes new students to accounting feel overwhelmed and confused. HAVE NO FEAR! If you are looking for a short, direct, super-clear, quick-and-dirty, no-nonsense 'handbook' to introductory accounting principles, GET THIS BOOK! Use it to supplement your Accounting 101 class. In fact, this little tome is SO good, I actually ended up using it instead of our regular class text (by McQuaig). A+++++++++
I was taking an Accounting 101 course, and found many of the principles and equations being taught in the text to be confusing. If this sounds like you, then get this book. Everything is presented clearly and concisely, and it coincided with each chapter in my text book rather well.I ended up with a B in the course, and I'm sure it would have been a C (or worse) without this book.Four stars because there isn't an index, though.
This book does not make the subject of accounting interesting. However, it is a good (brief) review guide.
looking for new job and refresher course, very informative
Good notes.
Great Resource
