I have lost my beautiful and brilliant son, my only child earlier this year. I believe my son has led me to finding this book. I lost him suddenly and unexpectedly to Meningitis y strain and the griief is compounded when my husband and I found out that this is preventable. He was only 19 and attending the University of Victoria in BC, Canada when he he suddenly got ill and was misdiagnosed as having the flu. Dotors said that no one can live beyound 24 hours but he hung on for 5 days for his parents out of love. We now know that there is a vaccine that has been available since 2006 and is available in most provinces except BC. This book validated everything that I have been feeling and that is we can still communicate with him and we are always family and together even though he has lost his physical body. I am so thankful that Patrick Matthews shares what he has written in this book and the following one.The book is easy to read and it is able to comfort those who have unbearable grief. I would love to meet and talk with him.

I've heard Patrick Matthews give readings on the radio quite a few times over the past few years and had thought of calling in and have him connect with a loved one...but didn't. Not sure why I didn't...but I guess I didn't feel comfortable enough or knowledgable enough on the subject at the time. However, I did know that there is life after death. My father and many other loved ones had shown me that over the years. For some reason I felt a sense of familiarism with Patrick and decided to buy his book "Never Say Goodbye".Patrick is a kind soul and explains his experiences with Spirit in this book like no other that I've ever heard before. He describes "heaven" (if you will) in a way that only Spirit would depict it. This book will answer many, if not all, of your questions regarding those who've crossed over. He even tells you how to keep communicating with your loved ones after they've crossed over.I highly recommend this book to anyone who is grieving or is just curious about what happens after we leave this earth.

I checked out this book at the Library after hearing about Patrick's appearances on local TV and Radio shows. After reading it, I am purchasing a copy to keep, as I know I will read this book over and over.I have read two other books on this subject and found this one easy to both read and understand. Patrick's gift is amazing to say the least. His accounts of readings for people all over the world would make even a skeptic think twice, and if you are open to this, like I am, his experiences will serve to convince you that communication with loved ones, once they leave this physical life, can be achieved. I spoke with Patrick on the radio this morning before writing the review, and I can tell you that the messages he brought to me were right on the mark...all of them. I'm a believer.

Thank you Patrick Mathews for writing this book. I was in such grief after losing my mother last year. I have read several books by other psychics and mediums, but none have had the effect yours has had! It was so interesting I read it in two days. I found the readings filled with emotion from you and the person you were reading. It really hit home that I don't have to say goodbye to my mom, which is what some books say to do. It was a rollercoster of emotion, from laughing to grabbing kleenex, I was with you all the way. I want to read it again and I promise to do my "homework". You and this book are a gift, and I now have a new aspect on life. Thank-you!

Excellent book! Easy to read with great flow and humor. For once I didn't find myself second guessing or getting further depressed, nor irritated with the author. Answer to your questions was wonderful-I appreciate knowing why some suffer in pain before passing. Also, new suggestion for communicating ourselves. It's working for me; I've gone further than ever before. You must look at the chapter context inside, the outside cover doesn't give near enough information pertaining to what he writes about. I can't wait for your next book. I will be buying your new cd too. I had a reading with Patrick, let me tell you all it was worth it. Questions I had were answered from a note I had written the evening before.

After I bought this book, I made the mistake of starting to read it as soon as I got home. I could not put it down! IMO, it is the best book on the subject of mediums and the afterlife and I would recommend it to anyone with no reservations whatsoever. The few negative reviews are IMO, off base. Patrick's former occupation has nothing to do with his abilities as a medium. Also, I cannot see how anyone who has owned and loved a pet can believe that they do not have spirits or souls.I would give this more than 5 stars if I could!

I was a little disappointed with the book. I have read many books on the subject and this one just didn't have a lot of substance. I also read Mr. Matthews newest book, which was Okay but not something that was much different than Never Say Goodbye. If you are interested in reading little snippets of his readings for people it would be a good book, it you are looking for something with more substance keep looking. This seemed to me to be more of an advertisement for Mr. Matthews services as a Medium. I do feel he has much to offer a person seeking to make a connection with their loved ones, but I wasn't really impressed with his books.

When I read this book I had just lost a stepson in a very freak accident. He was 34 with a wife and 2 young children, ages 6 and 13. This book really brought me peace in knowing that he is still here with us and that we will see him again in heaven some day. I have not tried any of the suggested meditations, etc. but have always felt our loved ones are still with us, but reading about some of Patrick's experiences has comforted me during probably the worst thing I've ever had to go through and deal with. I am a Christian and believe in the afterlife, but this book reinforced my beliefs and has comforted me during this very trying time.
