Introduction to Forensic Anthropology was a good text book for learning the basics of Forensic Anthropology, it did a great job for the most part. Unlike the 3rd Edition it has been updated and the terms used in the textbook are more accurate. Some of the methods it describes as great methods in the field are not as described can be miss leading. This textbook is definitely for Forensic anthropology, if you are looking for OsteologyI recommend a different textbook.
This book was assigned for a class, however, I feel the book covers forensics very superficially and would not be a good buy if you're considering forensics professionally. I still keep referring to Tim White's Osteology book for better supplementation.
I had to use this textbook for my Forensic Anthropology class and by the end of the semester, a part of me really wanted to keep the book for reference. It had a lot of information and was a very interesting subject to learn.
Good book, useful for those ones who are enrolled in this field of study! I would easily recommend. Good seller!
This textbook was used for my university's forensic anthropology course when it was offered for the first time but by the end of the semester we all agreed that the information wasn't nearly in-depth enough. The chapter review questions also set-up impossible scenarios, at one point suggesting the use of tree-root growth as an indicator for time-since-death of remains found in a desert. When was the last time you saw a tree in the desert? Overall, a horrible value and entirely frustrating.
This has always been my favorite anthropology book, as weird as that sounds. I had to get it for a class I took a while ago, and I found that it's very comprehensive and easy to understand.
This is a book needed for my future classes. I ordered them and within a week I had them at my front door. The packaging and shipping was great as always. Thanks !
I got this for class, and it was pretty great. My only problem was sometimes you had to search a little into the text to find the units used for some methods.
