Sincerely one of the best books I've ever read, let alone a textbook. This work opens a window into the ethnographic realm of human existence. It sheds light on the greatest subject of all: us. It embodies our strengths, weaknesses, and seeks to uplift the human condition and spirit. For those studying or teaching the discipline of Cultural Anthropology or Ethnography, this textbook should be on your shelf.
I needed this book for school and to buy or rent it from my school was outrageously expensive. This book came right on time for class, and is in pretty good condition. There is a good amount of highlighting in it from its previous owner but the book is serving its purpose just fine. The CD, however, does NOT come with this book, but the buyer warned me of this before accepting my order.
Ordered this book for a university Anthropology class. Although I don't have much interest in that particular field, the text does offer some compelling anecdotes that kept me interested. The text itself is not very difficult to read, and the book is separated into comprehensive chapters. The visuals are all printed in full color and add dimension to the text.
I was happy with my purchase because of how fast it was shipped out as compared to other sellers. Within the next day of purchasing it, I received an email updating me on its shipment. I've had other sellers take up to five days to ship my purchase
I ordered this book a week ago and it was supposed to be in a few days ago. I have yet to get this book! The other reviews say it was shipped fast and what not but mine is still not. The estimated delivery said it would have come in at the latest 2 days ago, now it is saying that it won't be for another week!
The book was in good condition and as far as textbooks go this one isn't bad at all. It is easy to read and has nice side notes and photographs.
Sweet item, has lasted me a long time and item quality seems solid. Good shipping speed and I would recommend for future purchases
EXACTLY WHAT I NEEDED, for half the price. This book has it all. Be prepared to do some serious reading, though.
