Awful. The book itself is easy to read as described by other reviewers, but Norton has made this a terrible option for students. Likely you need this book for your college Anthropology course. If so, you will likely need to access Norton's online component. If so, your Kindle will not include your access code, so you will need to buy one on their website. If you do that, you get access to their ebook. However, this ebook is flash based and only accessible with an internet connection. You will almost assuredly not be able to access it on your tablet, iPad, etc. so really you probably needed the Kindle edition too.There has been some sort of miscommunication between and Norton and the student/reader is the one losing out. I do not understand why I need to pay over $90 for an electronic file that I can also gain access to for $55 on Norton's website, yet I need to buy both and they cannot just give some sort of bundle option when the physical textbook costs less to purchase brand new with an access code and shipping included on 's website.
I ordered this book used as a rental and actually received a brand new book. It is informative and set up in a logical way which makes it easy to read. The information is interesting and I never dreaded reading the book. It's written at probably a high school level which was a nice break from the usually difficult-to-read college textbooks.
Well laid out! I had trouble with some the topics covered in this text when I first learned them in high school. That was twenty years ago, but this time around, no problem! I will give the credit to a well written book!
I got this for a class/course I ended up dropping because of too much on my plate to fully put myself in each class. I may retake the class/course but regardless, the material is interesting and it's not always easy to keep my full attention, at least in regards to reading course material.
Great book! I love the online totorials, they help with preparing for the midterm and great study guide.
This text was bought for my Grandson's College Class but we are BOTH enjoying. I am much older so I can laugh now at the things were told when I was a kid.... the more you know, the more you know how little you know....

I needed this class for an anthropology class I am taking, and it has all the information I need and is actually quite interesting. Highly recommended for anyone with an interest in anthropology.
