This book is a great book full of cases to help you learn how some of our nation's laws came into effect.
This book was a required purchase for my daughter's AP Gov't class. We were given the option to purchase from the teacher. He had a few used & once those were gone, New books could be purchased at double the price we paid online. in fact, we got a brand new copy for the same price the teacher was selling his used copies for. The book came sooner than expected & we are very happy
This is a fairly standard US Govt. textbook. It is well organized and thorough and includes a reasonably diverse number of contributors. It is widely used by colleges and universities at the introductory level. It is a little left leaning, but confirms that most colleges and universities lean that way too. This may not be good for those with undeveloped political minds or those unacquainted with history, because you have little to compare the text with. However, for those with a knowledge base, who have a set of political opinions and they know why they hold them, this book can provide a basis of debate that may further refine your political beliefs.
This book is a must for any American Government class. Excellent source materials add depth to any textbook or class structure.
The book came here on time, and was as described--used. I use it occasionally in school and it's perfect for what I'm doing so I think it's good.
