This is an excellent book and I'm not saying that just because I am a historian. Extremely well written.Moves along at a refreshing pace and never gets boring! As a long time resident of New York City I was very surprised to read about some of these bodies of water that most of us do not know existed. As I was reading it I felt like I was on a tour of New York City.The author has clearly put a lot of time and effort into this great endeavor!
