I would recommend this textbook as it take a novel approach to teacher supervision. It was a required textbook for a class I was taking. I got an "A" in that class so I would have to give some credit to the textbook! I will also note that the price for this book at was about half that charged at the university bookshop! I would recommend ordering any textbook from rather than buying it at a local university bookshop!
I recommend this book for anyone completing their Administration degree. It is well written and gives great and useful real life situations that are applicable.
Read this book if you plan on being an administrator! Most valuable resource to me throughout my graduate school and years working as a teacher.
It is just the book without the spine binding... for $30 cheaper, this is a great deal, plus you get the extra online stuff :D
The text is useful and interesting. I am using it in a graduate class where the professor is well aquaited with it. We read selected chapters that are related to the supervisroy area we are studying. It imparts knowledge and opens discussions.
It has a lot of information in it but usually you do not get to cover everything for the class. It has very beneficial information that is helpful for supervisors or those preparing for supervising or leading positions. you should keep it for future references. It has many different methods for dealing with hard to deal people. Good book.
I am truly amazed at the things I find on .com. My husband needed this textbook ASAP, and I searched several "book stores" before I realized I could find it at .com -- at a much lower price than any others I had seen, and as a "Prime" member, we had it in two days! Amazing!
Required for a class. Very poorly written book. Seems like the author wanted to try to use a lot of words and a lot of big words unnecessarily. Many times had to read a section multiple times to try to figure out what was being said. Book offered many case studies, but sometimes no definition or explanation of the concept. Book was incredibly overpriced for what you got. Pages were not glossy, nor was there color (things that normally justify a higher priced book).
