This book is great and very informative. I was required to purchase it for a class, and I have found it very helpful in giving strategies that I can implement with my students quickly. The book is well organized, and easy to read. I'm glad I own it. However, the book is falling apart. I use the book often, but I wouldn't say I'm rough on it. I don't throw it around and it stays at home on my desk. With normal page turning, during the first use I had three pages fall out. I'm constantly having to tape pages back in, and it makes turning other pages awkward. It is frustrating!
Very great book and I highly recommend it. An ESL teacher's must-have. This book has helped me to address multiple points of entry formerly known as "differentiation" in NYC public schools. The book is easy to read with short chapters. The best part is it has lesson plans that are right on the money unlike plans that I've looked at on websites for ideas that require a complete overhaul. Great book.
Used this in class but rented it first. Realized this is a must for class to have many activities on hand for all grade levels, ELLs, and students with special needs. This is a large and extremely useful tool when teaching elementary school!
This book goes along well with the companion book, Assessing Reading, Multiple Measures. This provides intervention to use with students in a simple and easy-to-use format. Once the diagnostic testing is completed, this companion book is useful to help the teacher plan and prepare instruction for each individual student. I found this book helpful in the resource setting along with RTI.
I purchased this for an online class and found lots of useful information inside of it. To make things better it was used in not just one but two of the classes I had to take for my reading endorsement.
This book has a ton of great reading lesson ideas that I am going to use in my classroom to help with my struggling readers.
Although a bit expensive, the book has good reading information.Quite thick, but easy reading. It is a must for reading endorsements.
This is an amazing book. I used it to create a phonemic awareness unit for English learners...it will be my most-used resource.
