This is the first book I've found that provides proven memory techniques to help kids remember math terms, math procedures and math vocabulary. It's amazing! The rhymes and pictures make it simple for any child to remember. I highly recommend Memory Tips for Math to any parent or teacher.
This book begins with the whys and hows of memory and learning styles. Those chapters alone are worth the price. The memory techniques in this book are amazing. Children will learn math using memory clues, fun rhymes, acronyms and pictures. Teachers and parents will enjoy using the techniques in this book and will find that they work for all types of learners. I give this book an A+.
I cannot say enough good things about this book. Teachers using the methods will find that their students will not only have fun learning the rhymes, but will be most eager for math lessons. The creative memorization techniques will work for all types of learners. This is a must-have book for all K-5 teachers.
It's good and interesting reference book. But it spread too thin on so many topics. But it's very fun to read.

I am a new classroom teacher and this book is chock full of good ideas to reach different learners with math. They say that if math comes easy to you, you will probably not be a very good math teacher - it is the people who had to struggle to understand it who can better help children who are struggling. Since it was relatively easy for me, I need this kind of book to help with how to use mneumonics and other strategies for learning math. Well worth the purchase price!
