I received a copy of the book from the author. As a parent of a 27-year old daughter with autism, we have acquired and read many activities books over the years. The activities in this book would have suited our daughter well when she was younger. And, I feel adult activities can be patterned after the activities in the book and be useful as a part of a social activity for adults with disabilities, not just autism. I have a nonprofit that has been running social activities and programs for adults with different abilities for several years.The ideas behind the activities are still appropriate for our kids when they get older. We hope to try them out.
I am a father of a child that has autism. While it's not easy at times, we always learn new things and know how to enjoy life. I also constantly look for literature and lessons of different kind that would help us. This book did a tremendous job in helping my child. I would definitely recommend to anyone with similar problems.
Having a five-year-old diagnosed with ASD, this will be one of my main go-to books for simple activities and play. It is professional, easy to read, and lightweight enough so you may keep in your bag. This little book packs a lot into a little space! I have been dog hearing and sticky noting this thing like crazy. It's well organized so you can just go to whatever section you're looking to work on with your child. One thing to note, is that your child does not have to be very young to do these activities because of the nature of autism these activities may be done with anyone on the spectrum who has a particular struggle with life skills.I received this book free from the author for my honest review. And now I wouldn't mind buying a few to give away.
I have worked with children with Autism for almost 3 years now, and I am so happy to see that there is a book like the Autism Activities Handbook that allows parents, families, and even myself to use outside of the clinical setting! Not only does it make activities simple, but fun as well. The breakdown of steps and listing what you need for the activity is so helpful. Thank you for this book!!!

My nephew was diagnosed with autism and it was a difficult time for my sister when she and her husband found out. The entire family was shocked but ofcourse supportive. I got this book for her and also for my nephew wanting to help them out the best way I can.
