I read this volume to broaden my knowledge in auto-immune disorders and sharpen my diagnostic skills. It is the final word on the subject. I wish readers do not evaluate the book's scientific merit based on the timing of delivery or possible damage to the cover of a book.Authors put their hearts and souls in what they write. It is unfair to rate their scientific output based on shipping and delivery experience.
There are numerous text books for rheumatology out there. This one is perhaps the most up-to-date, accurate and useful. A superb integration of pathophysioloy, epidemiology, clinical aspects and optimal management. Lovely illustrations and overall elegance
The digital version is next to impossible to use with the Adobe digital book software that supports it. The recent edition also is more an immunology book with poor coverage of clinical syndromes. Dr. Nicola
