I had to kill a librarian for this but it was totally worth the bloodstains and fur all over my eternal scouts uniform. I would pair this reading with a piece of invisible pie from the Moonlight All-Night Diner.
The art, the foreword, the introductory commentary for each episode... I am so delusionally overjoyed to hold these books and read them and teach my tarantula to read from them.I look forward to reading and purchasing future volumes. The level of care put into crafting these books (Mostly Void, Partially Stars as well) makes the experience of reading them so much sweeter.I've listened to the podcast since day 1, and it's so incredible to see how much it's grown and flourished.
While this and "Mostly Void, Partially Stars" may just be a collection of the Welcome to Night Vale podcast transcripts, it is so nice to have them in this format. I am a long-time fan of WTNV so revisiting the podcasts in print is a nice treat. The additional commentary on each episode is entertaining and insightful.
I love Night Vale and I have been listening to the podcast for a couple years now. When I heard that two new books were coming out, I was ecstatic. I ordered both this book and Mostly Void, Partially Stars together and they arrived today. However, both of the books were damaged in multiple spots. The box doesn't look damaged itself, so I don't think the damage happened in shipping. The box however, didn't include any kind of cushioning and isn't even fully a box, with multiple open areas in the box. The books themselves are fantastic, but the condition I received them in was not.
