I rented the e-version of this book for a class and now I wish I just bought it. Great for anyone taking Sociology or Gender Studies in college. Great book to reference as well. Really opened my viewed about what gender is.
This text is extremely verbose. The information is provided in a unique way, but the insertion of unnecessary comments makes getting through the chapters a real chore. If there's another edition of the book the editors should consider trimming the fat.
This was the textbook I had to read for my gender roles class. I actually read the entire thing and really enjoyed it. It wasn't boring at all and the material is really informative and interesting.
I like this book. I mean, yes I bought it for class, but it's written in a way that makes it easy to read and understand the concepts.
Using this book for my gender class at OSU-Tulsa. Gives good detailed information.
needed this for a college class and it was an informative book for sure
Book is in great condition- chapters are long and extensive
i wish I had known about this option years ago
