I first read Ally Ang thru their blog allysonang.wordpress.com. Their poetry renders me speechless: It is personal, gut wrenching, fresh and powerful. Their struggles with and exploration of diaspora, sexuality and womanhood give bold, poignant insight into the human experience. Ang weaves startling and insightful metaphors. You can love and appreciate this collection on many levels; this is poetry that stays with you in image, in topic, in language, in form.
This amazing young woman has so much talent and such insight. This book exceeded my expectations. I can not wait to see what comes in the future. Not to be missed
