This book would be a good undergraduate introduction to teaching reading. It goes over all of the basics in minute detail until someone unfamiliar with teaching a Reading Block would feel confident in planning one for primary students. As a graduate student with teaching experience, it's painful. The content is so glaringly obvious to people with teaching experience that ever chapter feels like torture. But, alas, that's an issue for my instructor.

I recently completed an online graduate course in Developmental Reading with UW-Stout. This text was required for that course. I believe that the text was well written and supported my learning. I found it to be very useful, and included the current research in reading.

more than enough info for class but over priced-next time I would rent this one-
