I would recommend this product to use with 5th graders. It is a quick skills practice that can be used every day and also has a weekly assessment which will let a teacher know if the students are getting the concept being taught.
FINALLY I have a great product that spiral reviews all of fifth grade common core standards for language arts. Every standard is reviewed from reading to writing to grammar. It takes my students 5 minutes or less to complete the day's activities. I love this book!

I use this book every morning. The lessons are short enough for bell work and they align with common core standards.
I was looking for grammar support for my homeschooled 5th grader. This doesn't really do that but it does give me writing practice for her. The book includes editing, which is important, and comprehension exercises. The editing calls for using proofreading marks but doesn't actually provide any.
I am a 4th/5th Grade teacher, and I love these workbooks. We use them in school for morning/bell work, homework, and reinforcement of concepts. The way the stories are broken down into passages is especially helpful to students who struggle with reading comprehension throughout long passages, and I see a marked improvement in my students after they work consistently with this workbook.
This is a great classroom resource. I haven't had it very long but have already copied quite a bit of it to use as a daily starter with my 5th graders. I think it could work well one level above as well.
defined this book as a "supplement". Personally, I find this book lacking much needed supporting basic teaching and basic learning information (lacking a foundation for each day's topic) to be even described as a supplement. It may be a poorly drafted outline, but not much more.
