At 28, I was diagnosed with a brain tumor. My wife had the good sense to get me this book, and it quickly became more important to me than the bible... It's funny, powerful and most of all, it gave me hope. My only regret is that I didn't get the book sooner. I am now tumor free, and learning to walk again. He describes in detail what certain drugs do to your body how long it really takes to "heal". He has been there and done that, he doesn't "sugar-coat" cancer or brain tumors in anyway. He gives it to you straight. I really found the insurance information helpful along with medicaid/medicare and the steps needed. This is a book you will truly finish from cover to cover in 1 day. This author includes a lot of inaccurate or unproven information. For example, he states that primary brain tumors are "generally slow-growing and usually easy to de-bulk or even remove all together. Almost all brain tumors all into this category. These tumors can be referred to as `benign.'" This is absolutely false and could be dangerous to someone who doesn't know better.As someone newly diagnosed with a brain tumor, I needed practical information. Instead, what this book contains is that if you are a blue-collar worker, you got your brain tumor through greedy corporations' negligence and if you are white-collar, why shouldn't you have to suffer like everyone else? Truly bizarre suggestions are given such as finding your doctors by visiting morticians and taking nurses out to bars.Please, don't waste your money. I'll be throwing my copy away rather than reselling it to someone else.This is absolutely the worst information I have found on brain tumors anywhere.
