*Note-This is the most current edition of this book (2015).This book wasn't required for nursing school, but it is so helpful! It breaks chapters into sections such as "safety," "psychological support," "nursing process," and "caring across life span" with fantastic practice questions. The questions have rationale at the end for each answer. It also includes some photos, scales, and diagrams. A few of my professors recommended the book to supplement my med-surg textbook for studying, and now I wouldn't do without it!When I do get ready to take the NCLEX, I'll have over 1,000 practice questions available online from an access code that comes with this book, which is a bonus!
Very useful for Nursing 1 students, I give it a 4 because this book does not cover all the chapters of the fundaments of nursing...
I give it five stars because the book has good questions and the rationals are very good. Unfortunately, the book did not work for me, the only class I was struggling with was Fundamentals. I did pass my class by reading the actual book from the class, but this one did not help me as per the class. I am sure that it would be awesome for the NCLEX. Like I said is not a bad book, has excellent questions, just not for the actual fundamental class, at least not in my opinion. Maybe it may work for others remember everyone studies different, for me fundamental was hard but I loved Pathophysiology. Keep in mind not everyone understand a subject in the same way. Other than that I do recommended because it has many practice questions.
This is a useful book when you are taking your fundamentals of nursing course. It's not necessary, but helpful. There are a bunch of practice questions with rationales. I found the rationales very helpful for answering future questions.
I really recommend this book. It gives me more confident in taking critical thinking skills on answering questions. I got straight A's on my exams. Although the book is not the same questions on my exam but the rationale from this book is really helpful.
Helpful to use while studying for first semester nursing school. Its amazing how similar the practice questions in this book are to the ones on my exams.
Great resource to prepare for NCLEX and pass school fundamentals exams. I also think it helped pass the HESI.
This was great to help understand the logic in answering nursing questions.
