Towards my preparation for the PMP Exam, I bought all these books in the list below from in that order.1. Rita's PMP Exam Preparation 8th Edition2. PMBOK Guide 5th edition3. Andy Crowe's - The PMP - How To Pass on Your First Try4. Head First PMP - Greene & Stellman5. Q & A for the PMBOK Guide6. The PMP Exam Quick Reference Guide - Andy Crowe7. PMP Exam Practise Questions - Sean WhitakerAnd one more thing, yes, I read them all & practised all the questions in all the books (except for Sean Whittakers' of which I did not complete the questions.)Each of the books, written by experienced PM professionals have their strengths & weaknesses. So, it would be unbecoming of someone like me, (who has leaned on every one of the shoulders of these able authors) to start comparing one author or textbook unfavourably with the others.Having written and passed the PMP Exam (at first try), here are some suggestions that others may find helpful.1. Believe me. Those people @ PMI really know how to set questions. Ensure, you prepare. So, irrespective of the number of books you read, you must practise & practise & practise on "high quality" simulated PMP Q & A. In my own opinion, PMI questions in the real examination were still up & above par in comparison to the 1000s of questions I practised in all the books I bought. In addition to ones practical experience & having good grasp of the codified PMP concepts in the books, practising on high quality simulated questions is a must. But take note that without a good grasp of the concepts, just practising 1000s of questions will likely not be a guarantee for success. I cannot overemphasize it enough.
