I took FAR on November 26th, 2014, and passed with a 92. I used this book for about 4 months, and it was the only thing I used besides looking up two or three things in a friend's Becker book and downloading the NINJA FAR notes the night before the test (I recommend getting the NINJA notes as well, but don't wait until the night before the test like I did). I was pleased enough with the book to order the 2015 Audit book (I used the 2014 book for FAR but figured I'd post my review here since no one will get the older edition anymore). This study guide is huge and pretty boring, but the multiple choice questions are absolutely phenomenal in terms of allowing the candidate to learn the material. I just wanted to post my experience so that those of you who do not wish to get Becker or another expensive program can know that you have another option. I learn best by reading, so this book was right for me. If you don't learn very well by reading, then this obviously won't be the book/material for you and you'll need to invest in a higher priced program. I also plan to supplement my study for Audit with some additional NINJA materials, because the NINJA materials seem to be highly recommended and reasonably priced, so I recommend another71.com to anyone who has not heard of it.Tyler

Do yourself a favor and buy Gleim or Roger CPA. This was a required textbook for my graduate class. I am also studying for FAR. Everyone in my class is failing because they only have this book to go on. I have a B average thanks to Gleim and Roger CPA.

Cheap book but the material is unorganized. Kaplan review was easier to read vs this one. I think if you have the 2014 July edition of this book, study off that, it seems pretty much the same

All accounting classes in one book.... but not entirely effective for my methods of study for passing the CPA exam.I'd definitely recommend this as a supplement to your other study plans.
