This is a wonderfully hopeful 'Haggadah'. Rabbi Goldscheider presents a 'Haggadah' which has at its center the idea that the Seder itself is a unifying event, one which brings Jews of all different kinds together, and tells a story of redemption not only for the Jewish people but for humanity as a whole. He puts together the teachings of Rav Soloveitchik Rav Kook and Rav Shlomo Carlebach and finds in them a message of Chesed (Steadfast Lovingkindness). He often illustrates the teachings with moving stories. The Haggadah too gives central meaning and focus to the Land of Israel and to the Jewish people's coming home after two- thousand years of Exile. I found the teaching of Rabbi Goldscheider not simply sane and learned, but deeply inspiring.
I searched for a while for a new haggadah this year and I finally found the perfect one. It had such meaningful, spiritual, and profound stories and teachings which were all in English (the actual seder text is in both Hebrew and English)! The format is so easy to read that I didn't have to squint or look hard to find a good commentary. I was really able to bring a lot to my seder this year due to this haggadah, this is a must buy.
Brilliant, fresh, new, thought provoking, well written, wonderful Sedah companion. Read and study before Sedah to select parts. It's all so powerful that the Sedah could last all night so be selective
This new Haggadah is wonderful; beautifully laid out, with thoughtful and informative perspectives of leading rabbinical authorities that provide insight into each section of the Haggadah. Aaron Goldscheider has done a masterful job in putting this together. It's a version that I will hopefully use at each Passover seder for years to come. Bravo and yashar tihiye kochacha Rabbi Goldscheider.
